LanSchool combined their two well known classroom software products LanSchool Classic and LanSchool Air under one name and needed a logo and brand for the new unified product.
I worked closely with the LanSchool team from conception to finished brand and site to give them a clean, fresh cohesive brand that would be an update to the dated current look but also tie back to their heritage. Previously, the LanSchool colors were primarily green and orange. I established a new, wider color palette to allow for more application and also sought to extend their library of design elements. LanSchool produces designs across many different digital and print media so they not only needed elements that would allow for new iterations to keep the brand fresh, but also pieces they could easily apply themselves. This solution was one that we offered to them that used bold illustrations and shape patterns. The shapes and expanded primary color palette called back to their roots in education but paired with the simple but sophisticated illustrations spoke to their advanced technology. We proposed to build a library of different shape and illustrative elements that they could easily pair together for designs and the simplistic illustration style was specifically chosen to allow them to find additional stock illustrations to match if expansion was needed. Ultimately, while the client loved the boldness and fun of the overall concept, they chose to go with another proposed look and feel I offered that would be a bit simpler to execute once we established guidelines for them.
